Rock Island Community Foundation grants grant funding donors

About RICF

The first investments to the Rock Island Community Foundation came from the Foundation's eight founders on April 16, 1967. Each member simply reached into their pockets and donated $20 a piece. Since then, the Foundation has given away more than $725,000 to community groups. In 2005, the Foundation awarded $107,347 in grants to 46 non-profit organizations. Currently the market value of the Rock Island Community Foundation's assets is $1.8 million.

The Board of Governors consists of seven carefully selected Rock Island residents who serve five-year terms without compensation. Any individual on the Board will be happy to answer questions.
